Production Manager (Shipping & Logistics Focus)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a Production Manager with strong experience in shipping, logistics, and apparel manufacturing to oversee and manage production at our umbrella factory in Vinh Long. The ideal candidate will be based on-site at the factory and work closely with the factory team to ensure timely and efficient production and shipment of goods, especially for export to the USA.

Production Management

- Oversee and manage daily production operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and adherence to deadlines.

- Monitor and follow the production critical path, proactively addressing any delays or bottlenecks.

- Coordinate closely with factory staff and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and problem resolution.

- Report regularly on production status, challenges, and key milestones.

Shipping & Logistics

- Manage all logistics and shipping activities, ensuring timely delivery of goods to customers, particularly in the U.S. market.

- Liaise with freight forwarders and logistics partners to coordinate booking, shipping schedules, and customs clearance.

- Prepare and manage all shipping-related documentation (packing list, invoice, B/L, etc.) according to international trade requirements.

- Ensure compliance with destination country regulations, particularly U.S. import requirements.

Client & Brand Standards

- Ensure all production and shipping processes meet the standards of international clients.

- Prior experience working with large American fashion/apparel brands such as Ralph Lauren, Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs, Nike, etc. is highly preferred.

- Work with internal teams and clients on production updates and address issues proactively.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.

- Have experience in a similar role in garment/textile/apparel manufacturing.

- Strong experience in managing production processes and logistics for export-oriented manufacturing.

- Familiar with U.S. shipping/export regulations and documentation.

- Experience working with U.S. fashion/apparel brands is highly preferred.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially in working with cross-functional teams and factory staff.

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a factory setting.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP or production tracking systems is a plus.

- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
