JOB DESCRIPTION:
Working location: work from home (Hanoi, HCMC, Da Nang, etc)
Our clinet is a producer of care cosmetics with 11 own brands and was incorporated in 1990. Until now have reached over 60 countries around the world.
They manufacture creams, masks, scrubs, balms, slimming cosmetics, sun care products, intimate hygiene preparations, hair care and hairstyling preparations and aromatherapy bath oils. Their cosmetics are available in small outlets, hypermarkets and pharmacies.
Main responsibilities
- To develop the launch strategy for the company portfolio
- To execute and lead the implementation of the sales strategy on its local market
- Develop and gain approval for the launch strategy for the business
- Deliver sales and P&L as per budget and forecasts.
- Deliver on financial commitments with a focus on improving sales growth and returns. Ensure robust forecasting processes to assess progress towards commitments.
- Build a positive, success-oriented, high performance corporate culture, and give a personal example through being present, engaged and available in the field.
- Build a stable and cohesive team (if that would be decided to launch the products with internally employed resources) as well as a reliable network of distributors and business partners
- Develop and implement sound and practical organizational structure, plans and policies as required.
- Develop and sustain strong customer relations
- Be creative and ‘out-of-the-box’ thinker in defining effective ways of reaching consumers
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
In order to successfully respond to the challenges of the role, the candidate for the position needs to be an independent, entrepreneurial individual. An experience of managing a business/company down to the P&L responsibility would be an additional asset however is not obligatory (it should not be too senior person as then the person might not be well motivated in building the start-up business and/or leading very small organisation).
The company is seeking to recruit someone with strong inner drive and ambition, that genuine and mature desire to build up something from the scratch. The person should have a decent level of business experience within comsetic industry with good level of marketing understanding (ideally having marketing background/experience). Apart from the commercial acumen, experience with implementing digital strategies, the person needs to have a thorough understanding of the local regulatory framework related to product commercialization on its local market. This individual must have a clear and consistent sense of direction and ability to communicate and fight for them (internally and externally) and be able to prioritize actions and be ready to work hands-on.
The successful individual should in addition positively respond to the below criteria:
- Experience in managing a business or part of a business (either as a Country Manager of a smaller to mid-size scale cosmetic company, or a business unit) with a proven track record of improving returns while growing the business.
- Strong sales and marketing experience; someone who can interpret market changes and translate them into well-defined business plans.
- Understanding of regulatory framework, and product commercialization, combined with eagerness to spend time in a field with customers and business partners.
- Have a solid understanding of local market, in particular within the areas related to pricing, government relations, distribution channels and distribution partners
- Strong communication and presentation skills and the ability to influence and work successfully with varied audiences (drugstores, pharma chains, massmarket chains) as well as co-operation within the company.
- Strong leadership and team skills with proven ability and willingness to work through and with people and be very open (and equally motivated) to work with the teams regardless whether they would be eventually employed internally or with third party services providers
- Be hands on with strong intellectual curiosity and honesty in order to command respect and drive the processes in the business forward.
- Native local language and fluent English.
