In Vietnamese law, a person who wants to apply for a work permit must meet the following basic conditions:

- First, must have full ability and civil acts according to the provisions of current Vietnamese law.
- Second, the person who fully meets the health conditions and standards required by each job position.
- Third, the person has a "clean history", has not committed a crime or is subject to criminal prosecution in other countries.
- Fourth, for people who come to work in Vietnam, they must have more certificates to prove their qualifications and work... Specifically:
+ Specialist: This position is required to have a university degree and at least 3 years of working experience in line with the position to be held in Vietnam. In addition, the experience verification of at least 5 years and related certifications is required.
+ Technical workers need to have vocational certificates, at least 3-year of experience…
+ Management requires appointment decisions and verification of at least 3-year experience.

Where is the application for a work permit submitted?

Currently, to apply for a work permit, you can submit it directly at the office of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs in the province where the worker directly works. In some cases, it will have to be submitted to the Employment Department of the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs.

How much money for a work permit?

The fee for applying for a work permit in each province will be different. Normally, the fee ranges from 400,000 VND to more than 1 million VND.

For foreigners, work permits will be paid by the employer to the state agency.
