The minimum regional salary 01.01.2020

Please kindly be advised that the Government just issued Decree No. 90/2019/NĐ-CP on 15 November 2019 regulating the minimum regional salary for the laborer working under a labor contract with effect from 01 January 2020. Pursuant to Decree No. 90/2019/NĐ-CP, from 01 January 2020, the minimum regional salary shall be as follows: 

• Region I: VND4,420,000/month. 
• Region II: VND3,920,000/month. 
• Region III: VND3,430,000/month. 
• Region IV: VND3,070,000/month.

Accordingly, from 01 January 2020:

1. Minimum salary of the trained laborer working under a labor contract would be:

• Region I: VND4,729,400/month. 
• Region II: VND4,194,400/month. 
• Region III: VND3,670,100/month. 
• Region IV: VND3,284,900/month.

2. The maximum salary subject to Unemployment Insurance Contribution would be:

• Region I: VND88,400,000/month. 
• Region II: VND78,400,000/month. 
• Region III: VND68,600,000/month. 
• Region IV: VND61,400,000/month.
