1. Recruitment Trends in Ho Chi Minh City for 2024
According to the survey results of the Center for Human Resource Demand Forecasting and Labor Market Information of Ho Chi Minh City, at 2,000 enterprises operating in the city, in 2024, enterprises will recruit an average of 5,124 workers per quarter. In the fourth quarter of 2024 alone, the recruitment demand is 4,205 workers, focusing on industries such as: personal services; security; commercial business; electrical engineering - refrigeration - industrial electricity - electronics; textiles - footwear; architecture - construction engineering; tourism - accommodation and catering services...
Notably, the majority of recruitment needs focus on workers under 25 years old (60.47%); recruitment needs for workers aged 25-34 account for 34.59% and those aged 35-49 account for 4.94%. This shows that in the last months of the year, businesses prioritize recruiting young workers, under 35 years old, to increase human resources for production and business during Tet. This is a group of workers with flexibility, the ability to work overtime, lower labor costs and mostly students and unskilled workers.
