LEAD ENGINEER (MARINE & OFFSHORE)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Vietnam branch, is responsible for handling various design and consultancy services for ships, offshore units for clients from Vietnam, Far East, China etc. The present position of Lead Engineer shall take a lead role in execution of challenging projects and performing calculations, analysis and prepare various engineering deliverables related to Naval Architectural, Structural, Piping, Electrical and Hydrodynamic disciplines.

Technical:

- To take a leading role in the Engineering for multiple Aries’ projects from far East and around the globe
- Planning and execution of various projects related to ships and offshore mobile/floating/fixed structures related to concept studies, new builds, conversions, retrofits, pre service assessments, life extensions, re-deployments, decommissioning etc.
- To be well versed in design of offshore/marine structures related engineering assessments, calculations, procedures etc.
- Coordinate and liaise with other multi-disciplinary teams in multiple Aries’ locations
- Technical reviews for Marine Warranty Services
- QC checks of engineering deliverables

Management:

- Involvement in development of engineering team, in various geographic locations having Aries’ presence.

- Lead a team of engineers and designers

- Managing clients and maintaining client relations

- Troubleshooting and guide team members

- Attend meetings, co-ordinate with HO/clients for successful completion of projects

Business Development:

- Assisting and preparation of technical proposals for relevant enquiries

- Contribute to the division development in Far East region

- Contribute to development of company activities in Far East region.

Research & Development:

- Involvement in development of design procedures

- Technical assistance in R&D division of Aries

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Having relevant experience in Marine & Offshore Engineering projects in FEED and Detail engineering phases

- Readiness to travel worldwide
