JOB DESCRIPTION:

Role Overview

The Customs Operation Contractor will be responsible for managing end-to-end customs clearance and compliance activities for company segment in Vietnam. This role ensures that all import and export activities adhere to Vietnamese customs regulations, company policies, and project timelines. The contractor will serve as the primary link between the business, the external Customs Broker (Geodis), and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate documentation and HS code classification.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle end-to-end customs clearance processes for imports and exports related to Wind segment projects in Vietnam.

- Ensure compliance with Vietnamese customs laws, regulations, and company policies.

- Liaise with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and logistics partners to resolve clearance issues.

- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for customs filings and audits.

- Monitor changes in customs regulations and advise the team on implications.

- Support project timelines by ensuring timely clearance of equipment and materials.

- Collaborate with supply chain, logistics, and project teams to align customs operations with business needs.

Key Task

- Perform daily reviews and approvals of draft Customs Declarations (CD) for both import and export shipments.

- Provide advice to Site team on logistics and customs regulations.

- Supervise and review daily trackers prepared by Geodis (Customs Broker).

- Prepare and share monthly detailed CD reports:

+ Báo cáo tờ khai (CD report)

+ Báo cáo chi tiết hàng (Detailed CD report)

+ Báo cáo sửa hủy (CD revision/cancellation)

- Share Báo cáo tờ khai with Mr. Hiển (Finance) when required.

- Manage "GE Box", ensuring all payslips for CD fees (Lệ phí HQ) and files are accurately archived for audit readiness.

- Review draft Agent Reports before Geodis (customs broker) sends to EYTC.

- Supervise the submission of PER/BIA documentation to EY for auditing purposes.

- Review and provide comments on QBR reports.

- Develop and maintain SOP & SOW for GEVVN Customs management.

- Review HS code classifications submitted by Geodis.

- Provide consultation to requestors on customs-related issues (codes, descriptions, HS codes, UOMs, conversion rates).

- Investigate and resolve customs issues as needed.

- Manage HS code classification for all items, ensuring compliance with Vietnamese regulations and maintaining the "Master List" for logistics management.

- Ensure SOPs for HS code management are followed.

- Review LOI submissions from Geodis.

- Update customs information in Races system.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, or related field.

- 3–5 years of experience in customs operations in Vietnam.

- Strong knowledge of Vietnamese customs regulations and HS code classification.

- Experience working with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and logistics partners.

- Excellent documentation and reporting skills.

- Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management abilities.

- Fluency in Vietnamese and professional proficiency in English (reading/writing) to coordinate with global teams
