JOB DESCRIPTION:

The ideal candidate will lead initiatives to generate and engage with business partners to build new business for the company. Leveraging prior sales experience, the primary function of this role is to proactively identify, hunt and secure new business clients, building relationships, and closing deals to achieve revenue targets. This position demands strong negotiation skills, a proven sales track record within the freight forwarding industry, and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment focused on achieving measurable results.

- Proactively identify potential clients and untapped partnership opportunities

- Hunt, win and generate business leads through network, cold calling and leveraging CRM tools

- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to win new business

- Build new relationships in an effort to grow business and help company expand

- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients to move them through the sales funnel while addressing their logistics needs

- Negotiate contracts and close deals that align with company objectives

- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery

- Think critically when planning to assure project success

- Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelor's degree on Business, Sales & Marketing or equivalent

- Minimum 5 years' prior industry related business development experience

- Strong knowledge of air, ocean and land freight solutions

- Proven sales track record in business development and execution of successful development strategies

- Working knowledge in freight forwarding and/or logistics related operations and selling process

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Focused and goal-oriented

- Fluent in English.

- Proactive, independent and ability to multi-task and work in a matrix-reporting environment

- Possess a high level of integrity and ethics

- Good team player.
